Policies & Fees

Illness/Accidental Injury Waiver
I recognize that there are inherent risks involved with activities my pet will participate in, including movement within the facility, playgroups, daycare, boarding, one on one playtime, and training. These risks include but are not limited to:
Exposure to parasites, viruses including Canine Cough, upper respiratory infection and any other contagious virus or disease. Sprains, strains, paw pad abrasions, scratches, nicks, and minor abrasions.
I also recognize that if my pets’ stress is heightened, a special needs dog, young puppy or senior pet, he naturally has a higher risk of injury, stress related illness, weakened immune system, or exacerbation of any pre-existing condition.
I acknowledge and understand the risks associated with utilizing The Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa’s services cannot all be listed. I understand that due diligence, safety, cleanliness and care procedures are in place and implemented by The Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa. By using our facility for boarding, training, grooming or daycare, you are waiving any claim for injury or illness that may appear by your pet while in our care.

Dogs with severely matted coats require extra attention. We at Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa have taken a stand on this controversial issue, and we will not brush out or untangle mats that will hurt or cause distress to your pet.

Matted Dog Release:
Mats can be difficult to remove and may require the pet’s coat to be shaved. Removing a heavily matted coat can cause nicks, cuts, abrasions, or irritations. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet’s skin, allowing mold, fungus, or bacteria to grow. Removing a heavily matted coat can also reveal skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. If it is determined that we can safely and humanely untangle and brush out less severe matting, there will be an additional charge.

After-effects of removal can include itchiness, redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, and failure of hair to regrow. In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. If it is determined your pet’s coat has excessive and severe matting, Yuppy Puppy reserves the right to shave and trim out any and all matting.

By acknowledging this release, you hereby release The Yuppy Puppy from any liability associated with any and all injuries or medical problems that may be uncovered and/or occur during the shaving and de-matting process. Should your pet need veterinarian care after or during the process of de-matting, you agree to pay any and all veterinarian fees. You also agree to pay any additional mat removal fees or brush out fees associated with your pet.

Playcamp Enrollment Terms:
The Yuppy Puppy reserves the right to refuse admission to or revoke admission of any dog at any time who does not meet our admission health or temperament requirements.
I agree to always have a flat, appropriate collar on my dog while attending camp, and also understand Yuppy Puppy is not responsible for lost or damaged items, including collars, leashes, sweaters and any other personal belongings.
I understand that Yuppy Puppy is relying on information I provide stating that my dog is in good health and has not harmed anyone or shown any overly aggressive behaviors towards humans or other dogs.
I Understand and acknowledge that I am solely responsible for any harm caused by my dog to any human or other dog while he or she is at Yuppy Puppy.
I also understand and agree that I will not hold Yuppy Puppy or any of its employees or owners liable for any problems that may develop while attending Yuppy Puppy provided proper care and precautions are taken.
I realize and understand that there is a illness and injury risk associated with my dog playing and socializing with other dogs in a daycare environment. I understand that Yuppy Puppy and its staff do their due diligence to provide a safe, clean environment to prevent accidental illness or injury, but do understand that not all illness or injury can be prevented. I am willing to accept this risk and leave my dog in that care of Yuppy Puppy.
I also understand that because dogs play primarily with their paws and mouths that it is not uncommon for small scratches or minor abrasions to occur from normal play behavior.
I acknowledge and understand that paw pad blisters are normal for dogs who have not had regular, consistent exercise on various surfaces, that creates calluses on paw pads. I acknowledge that Yuppy Puppy has various surfaces such as epoxy, turf, and concrete.
I understand that playcamp is rain or shine, and indoor/outdoor year round. I agree to use my own judgement if the weather is suitable for my pet and agree that my pet may be returned, wet, smelly and dirty from a day of play.
I further understand and agree that Yuppy Puppy and its staff have my full authority to treat any problems that may arise as they deem necessary, and I am fully financially responsible for any such treatments.
I understand and agree that in the event of any emergency Yuppy Puppy will first contact The Pet Doctor for initial treatment, Yuppy Puppy Staff or The Pet Doctor will then contact me for authorization of treatment and I assume full financial responsibility for any such treatment.
